Been with Bemoto for the last 3 yrs with a multibike policy for a Tiger 800 and Beta Xtrainer - £295.00 for a year and it runs out in September.
Sold the Triumph in mid May and wanted to put the policy on hold as I was going to buy another bike but I was told that that wasn't possible so the Xtrainer had to become principal bike, no refund for removing the Triumph and "we can sort it out when you buy another bike". Fast forward to today and they initially wanted to stich me up for £166.00 to add my recently bought F900XR to the Beta policy - for 3 months cover!!
After much complaining they got it down to £92.00 but that took an hour on the phone. The new rate for a multibike policy for the F900XR and Xtrainer is £440.00 and apparently its because the BMW is a new bike to me so its a higher risk as I won't be used to it?? Now if I Was going to a Hyabusa or S1000M or something I could agree with that but I've been riding bikes for 30yrs?? Sadly I doubt I'll be staying with Bemoto in September which is a shame as I like ts a UK company, UK peeps on the phone etc but 50% hike in premium against last year for similar bike, I don't think so! When I've changed Trailbikes previously there was next to no cost change.
