Went for a ride on Bertha yesterday morning. Just a quick outing to the Ponderosa in Llangolly.

Had a great ride there, no issues, no worries. Just a gentle bimble and she was plodding away quite happily.

On the way home I caught up with a guy on a new z1000 kawasaki. When he saw me he upped his pace! At best he was an average rider, no lines, no thought process to overtaking, but he was at least quick and smooth (more down to the bike though I'm sure).

I, on the other hand, planned every move with precision and executed overtakes with scalpel like efficiency. I followed my training and lined up for each bend on the best line possible (or as near as I could).

The result...................Z1000 man never got away, but then he was probably not even trying :D:D:D:D

Me........I had a wicked ride, learnt that Airheads do not handle well after all, but I bet I had the biggest smile when I got home.

Still considering parting with her, but can't make up my mind :blast

I took the big German bird out today. Forgot what a great ride she was after a few year's lay off.
:D

Well done Flip :thumb2

I remember doing that sort of thing on my knackered old Kwaker GT courrier bike. Waiting till I could see the sport bike rider starting to sweat, then pootling past in a really dificult bit (well for them anyway) :D

Now I'm having a ball at less than 55mph on the sidcar :D
