Best place to stay in Erg Chebbi

been looking at Erg Chebbi and there are a few places on the internet. has anyone stayed in any and do they have air con and pools ? which is the best ?

Stayed here a couple of times. Clean & quiet, not too expensive & friendly staff. They now have a swimming pool too

I've stayed in the Auberge Erg Chebbi four times.
No air, con no pool ...FFS you're on the edge of the Sahara, plenty of atmosphere and great staff.

And you can take the piste from Erfoud to get that extra satisfaction.

Auberge Dune D'Or

Lovely spot, good food, rooms fine (no a/c but well priced), pool (!), cold cokes....

In fact staying here (3 to a medium sized room) including the good evening meal was cheaper than almost any other accommodation we stayed in, none of which included food!

thanks for all the advice....am wanting the atmosphere and can't wait to be in the sahara, but I also want a pool...am going there in June..not advisable but only time i can do it...so it will be hot and i want a pool and would prefer air con but not a problem if they don't have...maybe i'll sleep under the stars...

been looking at the Yasmin which seems to be a new one right on the edge of the village....

I believe that's the place where I needed an emergency dump - only to find that there was no bog roll in the squat; just a bucket and a sponge!

Nah, they've proper bogs & plenty of bog roll
