first up hello,im off to morroco on the 6 of july, and so far ,with not having to get me clutch renewed,as i thought i would & sum other bits that dont need doing(trifik fing de gs,ain'it)if i can adjust the bevel box bearing, the one near the end of the swingarm:thumb i would of saved enough £,s to get new rubber, gloves & maybe a hotel room for a couple of nites. so could someone please tell me how to do it?.... the bearing that is. i thang yo:bow

If it's an 1150. use a hot air gun to soften the locktite.
Remove the lock nut and adjusting pivot pin.
Clean the threads.
Tighten the pivot pin to 7NM and torque the locknut to the specified torque (130NM ???) making sure the pin doesn't rotate as you do so.

If it needs adjusting there's a good chance it's on it's way out and that will be fun in Morocco during July:augie

Have a look here

I've just done mine on an 1100. It's pretty straight forward, if you can replace a wheel bearing and CV joint on a car you should be able to do this.
Took me about an hour and a half with a tea break & taking my time, the fiddliest bit is getting the splines in the internal driveshaft/shaft end lined back up.
I put a screwdriver through each side of the paralever bearing holes in the swing arm to hold the internal shaft in the right place so when i offered the final drive up, it slid straight together :)

Wot an excellent tip! I spent almost an hour trying to get mine back together and finally managed it more by good luck than good management.

Cheers Pigglet, thats the very thing. All this, mechanics with a lap top makes me feel like an F1 pit crew, very impressive to those who dont know im an idiot. Dont know about the tea break, but the cigar & a brandy looks a good idea. again many thanks
