Hi all,
Was at the petrol station today and filled the bike up with fuel. upon starting the bike the fuel gauge went up to full, the gear indicator was at 0 and the engine temperature gauge was at 2 bars. All well so far. I then get 80 metres away from the petrol station when the gear indicator doesn't pick up the gear change and shows 0, instead of 3rd or 4th. Then 6 miles further down the engine temperature is still showing 2 bars when i know it should be 5. I then pull over switch the bike off, and it is still illuminated showing the same info, full tank, gear 0 and engine cold.
i've left the bike for 5hrs, come back and it's still showing the same info (with the ignition switched off and key removed) and when i start the bike it doesnt change, when i switch it off it doesnt change.
i did fit a slim ballast behind the clocks earlier in the week but i cannot see how this would cause the displays to go on the blink.
Has anyone had this problem before? is it a 'plug to computer and reset' issue?
