Plaster it all over social media, contact BMW dealer ask them if they can put in on the ‘Stolen at Risk’ register, tell them it’s on the retailer hub…

Why does any of this come as a surprise to anyone?

Yeah, it shit but the moment you leave anything unattended ANYWHERE nowadays ( bikes, cars, tents, phones etc) in the UK then you’re taking a massive gamble. Especially overnight in a hotel car park. Look at how many contractors vans are done over every day & night.
The police don’t give a shit, they’re not interested anymore. Even if the criminals are caught the CPS aren’t interested in prosecuting.
The public won’t intervene if someone’s trying to nick something. They’re more likely to whip their phones out and record it so they can put it on their YouTube channel.

It shouldn’t happen but it does, every day. To think it’s not going to happen to you is just naive.
Sorry not to be sympathetic but sadly this is the UK nowadays. You should expect your pride and joy to go missing.

I feel for you, that dreaded sinking feeling.

I’ll be taking 5 locks with me on my October trip and that really only for the one night stop over in the UK. Annoying but hopefully the bike will still be outside the hotel in the morning.
