Bought a 2820 from Blokesstuff.com. Good piece of kit. Not sure now that I needed the Bluetooth functionality. Works fine by just looking at thh device whenever I am close to a junction, so no need for voice prompts.
So if you don't need bluetooth ... 2720 is a good choice for the bike. Get the Migsel mount and you are sorted.

Seconded!
It just works, good dependable unit, rain or shine.

Agree with HMR

Define your primary usage then any secondary usages.
Analysis the features needed for these usages (including mapping coverage available).
Look at all the units that do 'your job' and check out useability.
Finally consider price.

Garmin tend to rip British customers off whenever they bring out a new model. Their prices will be equal in £ and $. I've never had a reply back from Garmin why this is

Welcome to the free market. They do it because they know British customers will buy anyway, and they don't give a hoot if we complain about high prices as long as we keep buying. The sooner we all get together and refuse to buy until the pound cost matches the dollar cost (and make sure Garmin and everyone else know this is why we're not buying) the sooner they'll realise they can no longer get away with that and will have to drop their prices if they want to make any sales.
