Bloody Brokendown

Good luck again … last summer, in one of their busy periods , dealers could not find workshop shop time , for one month , to look at mine . Even denied any business responsibility with BMW warranty.
My mistake was not having a loan vehicle because the costs of that concentrate need to repair.
Your dealer will be busy with the new
numberplates at this time
Good luck

SO far other than a pretty fast recovery time

I am having difficulty to actually get someone to even discuss my refund of the onward journey (£65 taxi). I was told by customer services to get a taxi.

Had numerous calls off Enterprise telling me they haven't gotten any cars to give me...been two days now

Been in waiting for someone to answer the phone for 23 minutes so far this morning to BMW customer services

23 minutes, lightweight :D

one hour is the average wait time , and then its 50/50 if you get through or get cut off

one hour twenty, was my longest wait before speaking to an advisor

I’ll bet it’s not throttle grip
Or cables from throttle grip (next elimination)
Of Throttle body (think £600)
Then, by process of final elimination ; ECU (think £1,100)
Costs are a guess , because they’re never divulged by BMW insurances

That said , their diagnosis must involve fault codes. I’m my case , the fault codes were wrong and misleading ( throttle body )

Trouble is , I think that the solution must by elimination

Surely I wouldn't be able to ride away if it's not the throttle grip??

Not sure ; I had extremely limited power , just like yourself , 5-10mph max.
My symptoms were exactly the same as yours . Not sure if fault codes similar though ? Just saying .

Bike being delivered back today (by BMW Recovery and not the dealer who repaired it)

Was collected around half 10 this morning and not heard anything since :nenau

Its less than an hours drive

How many bikes are they dropping off!! Anxiety levels rising

If it's SOS (and it probably is) it'll be on its way to Porridgewog land having been mistakenly transferred onto the wrong vehicle at Northampton Services :augie

You're welcome :aidan

It arrived at 4pm

I live less than an hour from Alton and for some bizzare reason despite collecting at half 10 this morning he went to Bournemouth first then came back here

It sounds like a break down in communication between the driver and the dealer

Still. It doesn't take 5.5 hours to get from Alton to Portsmouth via Bournemouth :augie

Somehow the fact that I got breakdown cover with my new bike completely eluded me :blush

That’ll teach me to read the paperwork.

I’m sure their depot is at Bournemouth or possible Christchurch, my GSA went from Salisbury to BCP before Bristol.

Hope it’s all working well now.

Just bizarre as Portsmouth is easily on route so maybe had other priorities.

Yes it is thank you but now a niggle in the back of my mind
