Bluetooth Headphones - anyone tried these?

So, now that everyone has gone BT for headphones including myself I know without trying that my fag end headphones would be very uncomfortable under my helmet.

Has anyone tried these, dirt cheap but look interesting

I reckon at that price its worth a punt … the 7th review down seems pretty positive

Unless you have near perfectly matched ears, I can’t see these being comfortable without cussing discomfort due to pressure points.

The only in earphones that I find comfortable are Apple AirPods Pro. However they not exactly cheap, and doubt they’ll be comfortable inside the lid.

I’d try to see if anyone who does custom earplug moulding and manufacturing, perhaps they have trickled out into the BT versions. I know a few years back you could get custom moulded plugs with speakers built in, but these were hard wired by means of a 3.5mm Jack.

Reviews are positive (if they’re genuine) and at the price even if they’re not it’s got to be worth a try. You never know, they could be fantastic.

Ultimate Ear offer moulded ear plugs with Bluetooth.

And I would recommend them. If you have deep pockets!

I wouldn’t . Utter shite .
Got measured at NEC stand years ago.
When they arrived they didn’t fit . Had to go to their HQ somewhere out in Kent I think for remeasure/fit
Then had 2 speakers fail on 2 successive trips . Just outside of warranty .
I only ever used them on trips so they were like new !
Paid for both repairs then when third happened they went in the bin .
This was about 8 years ago.
They may well have improved but I’d never use them again as their customer service and aftercare was dreadful , and didn’t trust the quality.

You are Tom and I claim my £5

Those who are close to Motolegends in Guilford. They stage themed bike gatherings (Classic, Italian, British etc.) during summer Sunday morning. Said Sunday being 1st Sunday of each month. During the 3 hour assembly, they have a local fella out there doing ear impressions. I for the life of me, can not recall the name of the business not the name of the fella. I am sure he (business) have developed something in recent years.

That’s fucking clever. Even Steve Coogan doesn’t do that !

I too have had impressions taken at the NEC a few years back.
I am certain that these were labeled as mine, but more than likely belonged to somebody else, as they wouldn't fit in any way I've tried them to fit.
Just like you, I ended up having to drive somewhere similar, East Sussex/Kent to have it resolved. They simply would not believe me one the phone that plugs did not fit.
I must admit, I would not use them again, as there was hardly an apology expressed, Let alone let us partially refund you or cover the cost of your journey coming out here. The outfit wasn't particularly easy to find either, down a lane, in a shack of some description.
I think it is a sheer amount of orders that they go through one rthe course of the weekend, that orders are bound to get cocked up somewhere.

Just be warned, in ear, ear phones are illegal on motorcycles in France, so no good if touring there.

what about integrated into the helmet intercom systems? I am pretty certain, that it is a bit like reflective stickers on helmets. It only does apply to French residents and helmets purchased in France. I am not sure if such malarkey still in existance. Same goes for the motorcycle gloves, these must conform to latest CE spec or something along those lines..

We were stopped by the rozzers down near Annecy 2 years ago, I think because Paul had a dodgy exhaust. They went through the bike with a fine tooth comb..number plate, exhaust, no GB sticker and in ear speakers. Took a lot of beer tokens off him.
the rest of us thought it was funny .
as the in helmet speakers, they are fine. Just in ear ones that are banned AFAIK

Yes, I’ve got a pair upstairs I bought for sleeping, have tried & tried to use them but too painful unfortunately. If they fit your ears perfectly they might be amazing, wouldn’t have thought they were any good on a bike because I don’t think the noise cancellation will cope with the sound of a bike.

I’m told by a mate who knows stuff, that speeding and, crossing unbroken white lines, are also illegal. I’m not sure if it’s the same everywhere else.
