Hi all

Does anyone know where i can get a block connector to fit a bmw
power socket. I bought one the other day expecting it to have the usual
spade connections and it turns out this one has two small bullet
type ones.
(ps its mounted by my clocks )

If your bike is GS12 sofar as i know you cannot buy the male part of that plug. When fitting a GPS most people bodge a connection by sticking the wires in to the socket and secure them with tape/ sealent etc. There's quite a bit on this on the GPS forum. Good luck

As far as I remember, the socket has male connectors on the back. Standard procedure is for the electrical feed to be female, to avoid accidental shorts. So you need a female connector on your wiring loom to plug into the back of the socket.

I've found that these items from Maplin do the job pretty well, although they don't lock on like the BMW ones do. Haven't found that to be a problem yet and I have wired up BMW sockets on two other bike using these connectors.

Harry, Steve has an 1100. :thumb

I think septic is talking about the standard power socket that you plug your heated vest etc into anyway, which are the same on all the different models.
