Boom Boom...... Shake Shake The Katoom

So a great day all round.

Looking forward to a shorter one tomorrow, Andorra day trip is looking good.

A bit of mountain roads, either side of coffee and tat tastic shopping.

What's not to look forward to........

We were indeed. very highly recommended . After an huge meal at the bowling restaurant, and (near compulsory) bowling ((at which I am notably 💩))
that night I get up for a pee, and take the opportunity to gaze out the window at the stars, and listen to two or three Nightingales singing loudly across the wooded valley that fronts the hotel. I've not heard Nightingales in the UK at night, since the early eighties, so its a rare treat to hear these male birds singing LOUDLY, trying to coax a passing-by female to drop in, and have a quick look, a flapping about and coupling, and then be off again... some things never change ☺️

Day 6

Millau to Sort

340 Miles.

A bit of a beast of a day, left at 0930 and arrived at 2115, dinner finished at 2130 :)

Stunning start to the day with some lovely views of Millau Viaduct.

Onwards in great weather to Carcassone.

I was here years ago when they painted yellow stripes on the castle, they've gone now but you can just make out where they were.

Drop bikes and a walk round the castle, finding a very cool little place for lunch.

The great roads continue to Andorra, lovely blasting blast places where you've skied 20 metres away :)

The 260 to Sort was as great as I remember it, there's now a nice viewing platform near the top, despite us pushing our luck with dinner time we had to stop.

Into Sort and my usual hotel.

Secure parking and a huge map up of great bike routes.

Food shower crash out, were here for 2 nights so a light day is in order tomorrow.

Pics follow.......
Which hotel in Sort? Hotel Brasse?

In 1 sir.

I think the view over the river is great.

Good parking etc.

Basic restaurant, but Im not too much of a foodie if honest.

Coffee is almost as good as the "Tideswell Catherdal Coffee Bench" (y)

Should you yourself stop by the locality please feel free to utilise the sticker boards thoughtfully provided by Caussou-Pyrenees District Highways ;)

Would that be “Ou eSt les femmes . . . etc”
Not sure about spectaculeur, is it it Franglais à la Miles Kington?
AFA French grammaire(!) is concerned it needs to agree with the plural of femme which is clearly feminine.
Sure some of the French domiciled GSers can provide the definitive answer.

It is indeed Franglais (y) I dont do 'formal grammar' and strangely have been able to converse throughout France, Germany, and Greece.
Admittedly i have Abso-lootly no Spanish, (*or Basque, or Catalan) something I may well have to remedy, having enjoyed the Pico's immensely on this, my first visit :D

Pico’s what?
Mischievous pedant’s question!

Anyway, back on track ………..

Andorra Tattaria here we come.

I can smell fridge magnets and China thimbles as I fall asleep

Love a fridge magnet me, but best of all are 'locally specific' Swiss Army Knives...
Bit of a thin haul this time, but previously I've picked up:

Third one down features an attachment that can summon 'a Manager' at will,
whilst fifth one down has a blade that can work through steel bars & granite!

Do you hang around council flat estates in London at night being menacing ??
