I'm thinking of getting one of these Boostaroo Amps.

I've got a Garmin Quest, and the nav voice is faint at speed. Not terribly worried about that, and it's OK around town.

Trouble is, now I've got speakers in my helmet, it got me thinking about music. So an MP3 player, woul dbe the obvious choice, but the volume would be too low, so that's where the boostaroo comes in.

As the boostaroo only has one input, can you plug the GPS and and MP3 player into a splitter (I guess it should be called a consolidator in this case) and then use the 2 inputs for the boostaroo. I know nothing about electronics, so it has to be plug and play :o

I don't want the hassle or expense of fitting an autocomm or equivelant unit, and it's not likely to get used that much, and I certainly don't want to talk to the pillion

Thanks in advance

I could use their speakers, or even go to Ultimate Ear / Green Leopard etc. That might solve the volume problem, but I'll still have only 1 audio input, when I want 2 one for GPS AND one for MP3.

I know the standard way forward is AUTOCOMM or equivelant, but that takes up space on a bike, that has none available (or at least very little.

So I guess the question is one of electronics - can I use a 2 into 1 plug of some sort to link the output of the GPS, and an MP3 to the input of a Boostaroo, (or ultimate ear / green leopard ear monitors, or helmet headphones).

Cheers
