Hi thinking about new boots for christmas ! been looking at sidi canyon or tcx infinity gtx ? any help . both get good reviews must be waterproof and warm

I have got a pair of Oxtar Infinity GTX and I'm happy with them, they've kept my feet warm & dry and are very comfortable to walk in as well.
I would say that you might want to go half a size up to your normal shoe size (unless my feet have grown?).

I'd go along with the Altberg comment, mine have been totally waterproof since i bought them about three and a half years ago. That would count for nothing as I may be a fair weather part time rider. But I'm not, i rode about 16,500 miles last year. Admitedly i didn't wear the Altbergs on hot days, but nonetheless, they are frequently worn all day, comfortable to walk in. A grippy tread on the soles & heels gives me more confidence than other boots I've had.
Plus they can be returned to Altberg and refurbished for far less than the cost of buying replacements, not that mine are anyway near being worn.

I have a pair of Sidi Discovery Rain Boots, Got them from http://www.bikersbuyit.com but there is also a uk version which are called sidi courier, but not to sure if they are waterproof, but a great boot for touring and offroad, 3 buckles, great shin and ankle protection and realy waterproof..

Sidi Couriers are supposed to be waterproof. Mine never leaked.

best alround boot i have had never let water in,over 35000 miles

Daytona Roadstar, about £230 and like wearing comfortable slippers, totally waterproof, so much so that when the sole wore out on mine I had new ones fitted by the manufacturers for £90, cam back like new. Try them on.

I had a pair of those for a short time but they weren't a good fit for me. Apparently they offer different width fittings which might have helped had I known that at the time of ordering.
I sold them to someone on here, can't remember who now.
I agree with the Daytona recommendations, but I got mine mail order from a german website (biker-land.de or something similar). Excellent service and less than £200 including postage and very efficient service (before Gordon Clown killed sterling though).

Just received my second pair, although they are the Heine Gericke marked brand, and they are excellent. First pair lasted almost 5 years and I only really changed them because the soles had eventually worn down and were getting slippery! I've worn them in Hong Kong's torrential summer downpours and they've never leaked ... believe me, in all the places I've been to there's nothing like HK rain storms!

I too have a pair of Hein Gericke Rallye GTX II boots, which are identical to the TCX Infinity GTX boots, which won a recent winter boots test in Ride magazine. Have had for a bout 18 months, always been waterproof, plus had accident three weeks ago which left me with a broken femur and bruised heel but hardly a mark on the boots - very recommended!

I've had a pair of Non-Stop GTX for nearly four years, and apart from a few scuffs on the leather uppers they are showing no signs of wear. Dead comfy on and off the bike.

Hi Thanks for your input regarding boots went into Edinburgh today tried on a few pairs by far the most comfortable were daytona roadstar gtx but being a tight scotsman the price was a shock
just wondering if anybodys seen a deal on these boots
