Aldy,

I guess you will be hoping to sell a few hammers.

Hopefully catch up with you again soon.

Voyager

p.s. I now have a black & yellow jacket like yours !

Hello Dunard, I'll need to collect my bike from Paisley (had to ferry a car home tonight) and plan to be hitting the M8 at Hillington around 08:00. I was just planning on a gentle trundle along the M8 to get into the grove.

hope you all had an enjoyable day lads without trouble.
I went to Dundee and bought a new clutch slave cylinder (£70 odd) and while at it a cat less Y branch (Remus of course £170).
Know what i'm doin' the morn :(

A really good day out. Top marks to that man Forry.

I got home at five and jumped straight into a really hot bath. :D Now I'm going out to warm masel' up further. :thumb

It was good that so many folk turned up and good to see so many new faces. Shame about arcboutant's slave cylinder. I know the feeling...

:beerjug:

Thanks for that :thumb

I'll second that - Many thanks Forry.

I gave the bike a good wash down - I'll glue the mirror head on (again) in the morning.

Someone (I think it was Ronno) has a picture of me failing to exit the stream and it will no doubt appear soon . . Ah well, if you don't try . .

That's why I have a bike that only cost me a couple of grand, I would think more than twice if I had an £11K GSA !

It was good to meet up with a lot of like-minded misfits. Hope to see you all again soon.

I think there were 13 bikes - a good turnout.

Voyager.

A big Thank You to Forry and Chris

I had a great time on some great roads with some great company. I'm looking forward to another ride out with you chaps. :D :D

Borders Run!

Had a great run and great to see so many GS's of all types out on a 'greasy' day! Finally warmed up again after a hot bath and even washed the 'Black Dog' so I can sleep easy. Now it's time to get warmed on the inside as well!! :D

Hadn't been in the Cedar Cafe at Grantshouse for ages even though it's just down the road and enjoyed the food and banter, respect to the folk who travelled long distance to see the Lammermuirs, good company all!!

Biggest 'respect' to Voyager who crossed 'the ford of doom' and made it to the other side, well sort of, :bow and why did I switch that video camera off when I did!

OK Guys . . I'm sure its easy really . . but how do I post pictures on this forum ?

I've tried various things to no avail.

I have around 40 shots to post if it will take it.

Thanks.

Voyager.

Folks,

This looks as though it is going to be a sleepless night.

Here are (hopefully) five pictures from today's Borders run.

I'll add more later if this works.

If I can add my thanks to Martin & Chris for the ride out today, with all kinds of conditions on the roads. And thanks to all you tossers who made the trip down to this part of the world.

I'm delighted to hear that Ronno has actually made it home in one piece and without assistance - hope you are delighted too, Ronno. :D
BTW Ronno, Paulo frae Paisley was on Parkinson tonight. He was okay for a 19y.o.

Truly an excellent day out. I was quite surprised that I had done 150 miles by the end of it - and I stay relatively local too.

Great routes from Martin and Chris. :thumb I look forward to doing some of them again. Perhaps in less slippy conditions. Might even get a set of TKCs to tackle the 'ford of doom' too.

Now need to clean the bike ... ... that'll be the morning gone then.

Kai

Good to see everyone yesterday thanks for making the trip :thumb
Had a pm from Den when i got in last night :( saying he was running late
Sorry we missed you Den must remember to post my mobile no. next time :thumb

Can I also add my thanks to everyone for an excellent day out in the Borders. Total of 271 miles by the time I got back to Glasgow (just after 5pm) and every one enjoyable, even the torrential rain on the M8. Bike cleaning duty today I think. Hope to meet up with you all again soon.

I was down there ... honest.
Went to an engagement party on friday night, so was late up.
Even brought the wife to experience GS social life for real. She was shaking with cold so much that the whole cafe was vibrating.
What time did youz get to the Cedar cafe. We arrived at the back of 12, went out for a ride about and came back at 1 and stayed about an hour.

A good day for sure

Another vote of thanks here! A thoroughly enjoyable day. Even got good food at the Cedar, I had been worrying that we may end up back at McD's, bleugh!!!! Chicken stuffed with haggis, oh yes please.

Clocked 297 miles for the day.

Apologies to Voyager for taking off in despatch rider mode up the A1. I had intended to drop off the main road when I saw signs for Kirkliston but as I never saw one you just disappeared somewhere around SW E'burgh.

I realised why Ronno overtook.................he want'd te rest of us behind him in the event of an "event". Glad you got back without one!

Seriously glad I didn't have the courage to try the ford of doom, all power to Voyager for a good attempt.

Thanks again to everyone for a great day.

This photograph is deliberately blurry so as to hide the identity of the unfortunate individual concerned. Either that or my camera was on the wrong setting for action shots...

Here are SpyInTheCamp and Packer ensuring that Voyager and his bike are still in one piece...
