I have 1200gsa 90th 2013, with Break Failure flashing no speedo for the first 10 miles then speedo comes to life. Breaks all ok, rear seems a bit sluggish my guess is the rear ABS sensor, anything else i should be looking for ?

I'm currently in Austria touring and won't be heading home for another 7 days, I can get a part from a motorad dealer and fit if needs be. Anybody have idea if the part number

Cheers

Ty

Part number is 34 52 7 677 824

I'd advise you get it into a local dealer and ask their advice. Good luck :thumb2

You could check the sensor wires.

The rear sensor wiring connector is under the seat. The front connector is to the right of the front subframe.

It might be possible to extract the rear sensor to check for metal debris which could affect it's operation.
The front is easy to check by the LH brake caliper.

As Chris & Bendy say, clean the ABS ring and sensor - if that doesn't cure it get the dealer to check it out.

By coincidence Ty it seems we have the same fault at the same time. Hope it doesn't spoil the trip.

I remember you bleeding my ServoABS brakes years ago, ironic that I updated the bike due to fears of ABS issues!

Hi mate, yes i remember.

Actually after 56000 on the old bike not one brake problem with the servos. Thought servo brakes were very good
