Brake Switch Warning

Sorry if the is has been covered before. I am having an issue with with a bike I bought two days ago. I am getting the warning symbol of a bulb is not working, but no ABS warning. The book says it is a brake switch problem. The issue is that neither brake will trigger the brake light. Has anyone seen this? Is it a fuse? If so, I can find anything to discuss fuses or location. Can anyone help???

There wasn't a problem when I bought it so i don't blame the seller.

I assume that you have checked that the bulb is serviceable, if the bulb works then it could be down to corrosion in the bulb holder. Do a search, one thread I found is:
