No way you must ride below 3000 revs if you didn't notice a difference

Well I have just bought a 1250 RallyeTE GS and after doing 24,000 on my 1200 GS RallyeTE in 21 months I’ve done 1,300 from March 2nd and the 1250 is so much better than 1200 more power more torque more FUN. I like it, lots of little things improved some things I don’t really know why like there’s a knock valve and a tray under the ecu little changes still I do find the engine more Viby though ?

I Like the new akra not for looks but for sound and ease of cleaning as it’s thinner a bit like me FFS LOL. Anyway I’m enjoying my Rallye TE fitted GSA screen,GSA rear brake pedal, GSA seats, and. A host of other goodies..re brakes they are fine so far the engine braking on the new bike is a little less and delivered more smoothly in my opinion. New bikes are always nice let’s see how they are in a few years. One thing for sure we are all paying more for less..

Update:
12 days later the bike is back! All seems good for now. I asked for a report but none available. All I’ve been told is that it has been an assembly issue and not a parts issue. Still they installed new parts and tested extensively.
Motorrad Central, as already mentioned, have been outstanding. No charge for the first service and a lovely jacket thrown in for the hassle. Sweet!! Thank you guys!!
Glad to hand back the 800R (not my cup of tea I’m afraid).
I will be keeping an eye and report accordingly.

What are the lots of little things that have been improved? The only changes I know of, other than the engine, are hill hold upgraded from manual to auto, and DBC. And of course the Hayes brakes.

I also thought the 1250 was more vibey at the top end, but I expect this might be because of the contrast with the smoothness lower down the curve.

I actually prefer the looks of the new akra.

Glad you have your bike back, i genuinely hope you can now enjoy it.

Fingers crossed nothing else weeps or leaks, mind you perhaps you could get the second service done free and some matching trousers to go with the compo jacket.

I don’t really know why like there’s a knock valve and a tray under the ecu

Knock sensor? About time, as I reckon both my 1200s - no knock sensor - pink quite badly.
Tray under ECU - that should stop it getting complete caked in shit. The ECU on my 2015 GS was complete caked in road shit, my 2017 bike's ECU is shit-free. The only difference is the current bike wears one of Cymarc's centre stand bash plates. That has also stopped my the back of my left thigh getting caked in shit. The silencer on the right stops it that side.

Sorry, but if my dealer had had my bike for 12 days and when it was returned didn't tell me what parts had been replaced or what was faulty, I don't think I'd be praising them.
However many jackets they'd given me :-) .

So the gist of this seems to be that the new HAYES calipers are fine and the fluid leaks (or slight but totally safe fluid seepage in the braking system as the so called mechanical intelligentsia state) are due to the fact that the technicians in the BMW factory are incapable of correctly connecting a brake union or tightening up a bleed nipple.

Sounds like utter bollocks and BMW are covering for the fact that there has been a bollock up in either specs or production quality at HAYES

I will wait until the real 1250 comes out in a year or two ;)

I pick up my new 1250 tomorrow, looking forward to it. And if a real 1250 comes out in 2 years time, I'll trade my beta test bike and buy another one. Life is full of options. Remember in two years time they will be more expensive as we will be out of the EU :)
