Just give them a wipe over with some GT85.
Oxidising is a form of corrosion , the gradual degrading due to chemical action.They're bare aluminium and they're oxidising, not corroding.

Buy yourself a vinyl wrap kit from Humvee, it'll cover up the imperfections and protect it from further issues. It'll also look a lot better..
i would have thought from the price of them that anti corrosion would have been added in its molten stage obviously they use a cheap grade aluminium
I didn't bother with the BMW alloy panniers.
Luckily I'd already bought some Black Givi Trekkers for my other bike. So they'll convert straight across.
Plastic, top openers (or full opening) keyed alike. No corrosion.
The Givi racks are quick release as well.
Not as lightweight as BMW stuff, but they'll suit for what I need and look good.
Do you think people just automatically buy these boxes without looking around at other options first?
