Broken cam chain guide...

I,would like to know your definition of a legend..... Grumpy and utterly unhelpful over the phone !!!!

Will remember to recommend his services to no one !!!

Ask a sensible questions and you get a sensible answer. Pointless asking me about wiring and parts i've not fitted or even seen the bike involved . :D

Those who've called from russia, alaska and argentina are very happy :thumb

hi, any chance of letting me know the best place to cut the top right cam chain rail to slip on, I bought another to give it a go.

This is the thread with working pictures. I dremeled mine to 3mm, heated and just pushed it on. The filed gap doesn't need to be so wide. 2mm will be fine IF you heat the plastic before assembly.

Br,
Jaak

Hi jaak, I did the job today, filed a groove exactly were you did so great, figured once the pin is back through the barrel it not going to go back and forth, Instead of chiseling the old one off I heated the end of a flat blade screw driver and just pushed it gently though from one side to the other ,it worked great and no chips of plastic etc,
thanks for those who helped or even tryed, I am new to forums and wasnt sure if i'd upset anyone writing on someone elses thread, but to be honest I wouldn't know how to start my own.
cheers joe :D
