Bucks Green laning

Hi all, a couple of friends and i have just brought some enduro bikes and wish to explore the Bucks area (Chinnor, Watlington, Lewknor, Princess Risborough etc). Does anybody know the best place to start, Ie what maps to get, what site to become a member of etc.
I can remember the Icknield/Ridge Way from my 4x4 days but i imagine the classifications have since changed.

Just need some pointers really.

Get some supermoto wheels and slicks......the trampling Taliban have all the green lanes...

There are very few lanes left in the Bucks area that are worth riding most lanes are now bridle ways, have a look at the definitive map, cos OS maps are out of date. Join your local TRF group they will know where to ride.

Otherwise, rent a van and come down and join us in Hampshire / Wiltshire - There are loads of good tracks less than an Hour from Aylesbury.

A van's not really an option for me at the moment and I really don't want to run my 450 EXC on the road for anything over half an hour. Think I'm 'gonna sell the 450 and my 1200 adventure and get myself one of those 800 GS's. It'll be a good compromise between the two I think - a bit more manageable and capable for me off-road than the ADV, but still able to cope with a 1 or 2 hour journey to some good lanes and also able to take me off to the continent and beyond.

Well i have just brought a trailer as i had a funny feeling i might have to travel further a field, so you reckon wiltshire is a good place to go then.

Wiltshire or Hants - In fact, there is a thread going for the next gs'er offroad ramble in Hampshire - Sign up for that - I am going (assuming I don't have to work that w/e)

It is usually a mixed abilities group and I am normally one of the slower riders as I do 'ahem' like getting intimate with the bogs.
