Back on its wheels. Now to start designing the rest of the bike. The Frame strengthening.
Looking for a 1100gs rear end if anyone knows of a bike being broken also please. Swing arm, shaft, final drive etc.....

Only thing is. I want to use this mainly off road trips and for trail riding. The r1100s dif is a 33.12, that coupled up with an 18 inch wheel is going to be useless.

I hadn’t realised it was yours until I saw your bike in the flesh yesterday!

Bit more work today. Swing arm is just slotted into position so I can start to get the stainless subframe made up.

Got the main shape bent and the legs welded in place.
It's bits like this that take a lot of time mating everything up and stripping it on and off the bike.
It all needs to be the correct length so it doesn't look out of proportion.

Im after a final drive now. Either 850 or 1100 gs

I know Mikeyboy had an 850 final drive I had on my 1150 for a short while. Whether he still has it or not I don’t know but if he has you’re welcome to it.
Probably used it on something else / sold it cos that was a few years ago now. I never got round to picking it up.

No problem. I’m pretty sure I had Mike put new bearings in it? I got it off here second hand to change the gearing on my 1150 for a trip to Iceland that never happened. I then had it swapped back off. I can’t remember now but I’m sure Mike will know.
The final drive is at mikes workshop just north of Melton Mowbray.

Started today on the Yokes.
Going to run a set of Wp48s up front.

Billet turned up a couple of days ago so couldn't wait to get in the garage this afternoon

IIRC,
It was rebuilt,and had a MW trunnion upgrade.
Think you found it a bit low geared on your 1150.
I’m back Tuesday I’ll dig it out
