So carrying on from my screen post.
I wanted to make it light and strong so for the first time ever I had a go at making something from carbon
Made up a fibreglass mold from the steel carcus that I designed.
Gel coat first... leave that dry and started laying the fibreglass.




I then had a mold for the carbon to be laid in. Another coat of release agent, let that dry and then I could cover that with a good coat of resin.
Then a layer of carbon. A layer of reinforcement. Then all the bits of carbon i had left over to build up the strength.

Left that a couple of days and it came out of the mold quite easily.
Cut off all the rough stuff and sanded around the edges.
Its come pretty good to be honest. I have a few pin holes to fill with resin and let dry then I will sand it down and lacquer it.
