Took the bumble for the MOT on Saturday and all is well. I am now on the road!

List of jobs done since getting her:

1) Rear shock replaced with Fournales (wonderful piece of kit).
2) Rotten downpipes replaced with Keihan.
3) Rear subframe powder coated and reinstalled.
4) battery box painted and reinstalled.
5) Neutral light switch replaced.
6) Oil and filter change.
7) Starter motor overhauled.
8) Replacement Keihan silencer fitted (to make a complete system).
9) MOT obtained.

Next jobs include getting a few bits resprayed and tidied, and finishing fitting the stainless kit supplied by Chris Shaw.

Anyone want to buy it off me? Looking rather nice now. I will take some piccies when the weather is a bit kinder :thumb

nice one :thumb2 you beat me:D mine is back together but needs a battery. probably best to keep it away from the salt anyway :D . at least get used to it before you sell it :comfort

Hi mate,

I bought a Banner battery from Ebay as I have always found them to be excellent. I had a Banner on my 75/6 for about 6 years and it was spot on. Motobins used to sell them, but for about £50 on Ebay I thought I would go for it.

I had a big grin on my face coming back from the MOT as I wafted past all the cars, so I probably will keep the bumble for a while. I just like new toys, I suppose.

Hope to see you when we get some nice weather. I want to get out and use both bikes asap. :thumb

i am waiting to see if finn comes up with these oddysey batterys at a discount. otheways i will get a relient robin one from a motor factors :thumb

TFFT you had a grin coming back from the MOT there is hope for you yet :clap:clap.

The Banner I have was delivered dry with acid packs, and it was a beefier 30AH too. It cranks the 100 over really well, even in these chilly days. :thumb

Is the Banner a sealed battery? IE it doesn't have a breather tube.

Do you have a link to the seller?

Val.

Hi,

They are not sealed batteries. I am not sure the Reliant Robin ones that Bumpmuncher mentions are sealed either, though.

Link

Hope that helps someone.

Matt
