Aye we had a navy 3 ships I believe that were merged into the fleet at the signing of the union in 1707.
I did think about a saltire but it means unable to make way - or something.

Got a bollocking for flying a little saltire on my s/b crosstrees cause it is our waters, also got a bollocking for flying the ensign but I am not in the blue brigade.

I is a pirate - Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Who issued the bollocking?

Quite like the idea of a saltire ensign, just the thing to get the blood pressure up going past the Royal Yacht squadron chaps in Cowes.

Not sure which wit was responsible for making a flag very like the saltire the international signal 'M' - not moving.

It might well be your choice but the top one is the correct Pantone 300 colour as approved by the Scottish Government in 2003.
