On my old R1100s i had to replace the chain chain tensioners with modified units as they were allowing the oil to run back. The minor problem that this created was "clatter" from the cam chain when started from cold.
My 09 GS has started to show the same clatter characteristic when starting from cold and as there are only 2200mls on the clock.... is this a common (known) issue or should i have this matter sorted / investigated next month when the FD bearing is replaced along with the fuel gauge inaccuracy (3rd attempt)
