The next day after my 600 miles first service on my Adventure i started to hear the cam chain rattling esp, when the oil was cold it was noticable below 3000 rpm,so i took it back to the dealer and after them telling me it was ok i made them strip the tensoiner and there was two scores down along the body of the tensioner.
Now i take it the only way it can get scored would be that it has picked up a ittle swarf from a brand new engine after the first oil change.
Has anyone else had this same problem or is there any other reasons or possiblitys why this happened.
Also i take it they should drain the oil and replace the oil filter as well or take sump off to see if any swarf in oil .
Anyway dealer has ordered a new tensioner, and i wondered if there is anything else they would need to check when its being fitted , a simple job but what else should i be asking guys.
