Hi all,

I'm new here and this evening have spent a while looking through the search function for help and advice on the tensioners.

My '02 adventure has started (over the last 1000 miles or so) making slightly loader noises and when starting up the classic rattle is lasting sligtly longer than it used to.

The current tensioners are 25k old and I was thinking that they need doing again. My tensioners have 17mm heads if thats any help.

Questions;

1) I read that there used to be a replacement set but my dealer cannot help me. Apparently they only have standard tensioners.

2) Does anyone have any advice on the availability of these uprated tensioners if indeed they exist and where I may be able to get some?

Thank you.

The updated tensioner is a two piece item and fits the left cylinder, it has a 15mm head on it, the right side is unchanged, though if you really wanted to push the boat out you might buy it a new spring, (no spring in the upgrade)
I got my tensioner from Motorworks :thumb2
