Is there no way that you can mount another tank for fooling about, or do the modifications to the frame prohibit you from doing so?

I am Guessing that the tank made for my bike was based on Camille's. the difference seems to be the profile at the lower front. I think it was made by the Tank shop in Dumfriesshire. I must dust it off and think about recommissioning it

Oww

Let's have a look at it then:D

It's not just the tank though

The thing that stops me going ape off road on her is the cost and the rarity of some of the parts. The tank is the main one and it would be a real shame to bang it. The decals alone for the tank and other bits are £250 worth due to the reproduction costs and as for the rear shock, mondo sponds. No I thing any off roading will be gentle stuff with machine preservation high on the agenda.
:D

Yep

So, you're rebuilding an ornament:augie
:D

But wow what an ornament:D

She will be ridden on and off road but not as hard as I have in the past. For hard off roading you could lend me that 650 of yours and I'll show you how it should be done:augie:D

Nope

Are you going to start a 'how much is it worth' thread when its finished? :D

I know how much parts have cost me and I know how much effort I've had to put in to find some of them. If you think you can afford it pm me and when I've stopped laughing:D

jI've also been to see the sticker man who's doing all the decals and supplied him with a few more to do including the Antar logo and the michelin ones.:D

Lot of work there Si. :thumb

Just out of interest who is your sticker man and can he reproduce copies of anything from say a macro photograph of the originals for example ?

nice

just been to see my sticker guy at screencraft in telford and boy has he done a nice job on the race numbers, he's got to tweek the colour slightly on the VSD part of the logo but uther than that they are pretty bang on. just a shame i can find no referance to the six words that were printed in small letters under the pastis 51 logo. searched on the internet and cant find any referance to pastis 51 back in 1984.
oh well its 99% right:nenau
