I am trying to download part of a tune to my mobile to use as a ring-tone. Unfortunately, the start of the tune is very quiet and the part I want is approx 2 minutes into the tune.

I guess there must be a way of "marking" the start and finish of the section I need, before copying and pasting it (before saving it) IYKWIM, but its got me stumped.

Anyone here know how to do it? :nenau

Hi Taff,

Ideally you could do with Nero burning rom, One of it's smaller applications is Nero Wave Editor which will do exactly what you are after.

you could use "audacity" I think it called it's a free down load editor package never used but know of people who think it's alright

best of luck

Sound Recorder

If the file is a .wav file, or you can convert it to one you would be able to use the Sound Recorder that comes with windows (Start/All Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Sound recorder.
