Can I GS an R

Got the chance of an 1150r with kit. Can i gs it (or Nearly)?

It depends how deep your wallet is.....

...but it`s not worth the hassle IMHO.

Buy an R,or buy a GS.

On the other hand, if it was a K1200R ......... that could turn in to a GS with serious attitude.

earlier this year a group of local GSer's did an offroad trip up a river in the mountains of taiwan... to be honest it was a little over the top for 200kg+ GS's but a mate of ours accompanied us the entire way, over all the mud and rocks and river crossings and boulder hills... on his 1150R ... not sure how good it was for the bike, but he made it, didn't even drop it !!...

You can and it will also be lighter. It has been done on a r1100s. The only things you need are the wheels the shocks and the handlebars of the gs. I guess it will cost £200-£300 for second hand items.
