Cardo Connect App - Playlist

I've just bought a new Packtalk Edge and so far it's pretty good, except (there's always an exception?) I can't seem to build a playlist in the music player. I can find tracks on my phone which I select, choose, 'Add File' and nothing happens, likewise with 'New playlist'.
I can't find any instructions for the app or a 'Help' file either.
Anyone managed this?

I have a Samsung and just have the songs on my phone.
transferred from PC over USB

I have a cardo freecom. In the app I can only choose apple music, spotify. But I want radio paradise as an option and I cant get to add my radio paradise as an app to play. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt! Really annoying
