Hi, had my Dakar serviced and chain tension is about 45mm.

According to the Haynes manual is should be 40-50mm so seems right.

However, it has been loser 2" using a kuba link so does this make a difference.

Just wanted to check this doesn't make a difference as I'm now off on a 1500mile trip so don't want to risk a problem!!!!

What do people normally take with them tool wise???

Dunno about your chain as I don't have Kouba links fitted. As for spares it'll depend on where you're going. If it's civilised Europe then bulbs, fuses, gaffer tape, zip ties, puncture repair, tyre inflator and a spare front tube (which can be used in the rear in an emergency). You're never likely to be too far away from a garage if you can't sort it at the roadside. :thumb

Thanx for the tips, may pop to halfords or somewhere later and get some bulbs, fuses etc. Thanx.
