Why is my employer fucking me about?

It’s now looking likely that they’ll want me on site through to (and including) next Friday so I travel home on Saturday then get everything sorted out ready to go away for a fortnight on the Monday. That might not seem excessive but I’ll have had 18hrs at home in the preceding 26 days and genuinely don’t have a clue where half the things I’ll need were dumped when I last used them :blast

One day I’ll actually get myself sorted out so it’s not a panic stricken last minute rush.

a pre packed bug out bag you can grab at any time should be stashed close to hand; :beerjug:

If only I was that organised!

It’ll be ok, I’m taking the mighty RE and I’ve got my luggage carrying capacity sorted so I just need to throw things in bags and I’m done.

I’ve got the minor issue of an infected toe on my left foot so gear changes might be a bit painful but no matter what happens I’ll be hobbling around the circuit drinking beer to dull the pain.

I would'nt expect anything less; :D :beerjug:

You are doing better than me. On returning from Le Mans at gone midnight (thank you Chunnel) between Mill Hill and London E1, I have somehow lost a bag, containing half of my regular travel kit. Thankfully, I always separate my passport, money and wallet.

It’s a fairly eclectic mixture of stuff, ranging from Gortex top and trousers, through RayBan sunglasses, Bose headphones, power adaptors, leads and a bit more besides. A fairly sizeable claim has gone into my householders and separate travel policy this morning,

I have been busy talking to the man from the Amazon recreating it.

Always best to check things, before departure. It helps to avoid the comedy “Ah, where are the poles?” moment, usually in a thunderstorm.

Even my little Coleman light works. This was bought twenty or so years ago, following a recommendation on these pages by Whatton.

It’ll be the 1600 and not the 450, simply as my V5 hasn’t arrived. Having seen the punitive fine landed on a friend without his papers, I am not keen to repeat the experience.

I’m hoping I don’t get a repeat of last years fiasco with my RT not playing nicely because if the Interceptor throws a last minute hissy fit I’ll be taking either my H2 or my wife’s Street Triple, neither of which will be ideal.
