Remember to bring something for lunch.

Happy Christmas.

And to save anyone else asking

Sorry guys I am going to have to give the off road run a miss. Only just picked up the XChallenge and want to "run it in" before heading off onto the plain. I also need to get some more suitable tyres.

I might still pop down in the morning to see you all off if thats OK :)

There really is a complete mix of stuff around here, if you are riding down you should give it a shot - some of it I guess can be challenging, but on the whole there's a lot of pretty easy stuff to do

it shouldnt really be an issue as far as running in goes. what tyres did they deliver it with?

I'd probably ride down on the 1200 instead - heated grips you see :D

It has got the stock tyres on at the moment - Enduro 3's I think.

I am just off to throw the bike down on my parents lawn to check picking up techniques:augie

Stop being a big girl and bring it over ;)

Enduro threes should be more than adequate, a lot of the trails around here are hard packed forest road type stuff, there is tricker but you dont have to do it if you dont want to... its all very chalky but its been dry for a couple of weeks now so it shouldnt be too slippy - of the stuff that's south of me, there is some standing water and some big muddy bits but thats about it - you can do most of the stuff south of me easily on a 1200 esp with TKCs - Clive had a fair few running in on Tourances during the Hogroast and on the trip that I joined, I was the only one to drop a bike and it was my XR250 :D I blame Clive completely ;)

May not make it as I'm blocked up with a cold at the moment have to see how i feel saturday night

it going to be very cold, out today checking routes, coldest I have ever known it.

If your not 100% stay at home, come out another time, just P.M me anytime and I`ll guide you about.

Just bought the Landranger 184 map never seen so many byways on one map :drool :D

Been carrying a bug for a few days now but hopefully the Lemsips and vitamin C will keep it at bay for another few days. One minute feel fine, the next wiped out. Reckon the cold fresh air maybe just what I need.
