Now I am working through a few other jobs after replacing the timing chain and fitting a new Halls trigger/ignition module/rectifier I want to pin down the RH pot clattering... It is fairly "hard" sound and seems to be more inboard around the inside end of the pushrod... I am wondering if it's the camshaft follower tapping away as they are mentioned by some to wear...?

Usual noises on the LH pot which is reassuring:) At some point I expect the engine will get a top end strip down and new valves etc...

had too airheads that have done something like this. i've replaced all kinds of stuff without much success, so if you find out what it is, i'll be keen to hear ;)

Cheers for the answers... The bike is running well enough it's just a bit more noisy than usual some... I will check the end float and recheck the valve clearances and see how it goes...
