I'm with the harpic Power Plus Max 10 crowd, or whatever stupid name they have dreamt up now.

Best to remove the headers for a thorough job - if leaving them in place, make sure you mask up the engine; this stuff is aggressive & can easily spoil paint/lacquer finish.

That's how I did mine, but had a pair of gloves on and rubbed it in with a bit of Scotchbrite cloth...( green dish scoured will do the same job.)...and yes as squibb suggests it's a good idea to mask off anything you don't want stripping

Use safety precautions since Harpic contains hydrochloric acid which is why it's important to rinse it off well

After reading this post I set about mine. Pretty happy with the results. I’m sure it could be better, but this only took me a couple of hours.
