Happy new year fellow gsers....
i'm hoping i might get some sound advice on here......usually do. My 1998 1100 has been laid up since before xmas due to lack of funds.......however she is back on the road for the new year and was due to be used this morning. I charged the battery a couple of days ago, but this morning she just emitted a clicking sound from the starter motor. I have had the motor apart before as she sometimes fails to engage, i think it needs new brushes. However, I think that the clicking sound could be just cos the battery is too flat it cant find the energy to turn her over. I am going to charge her overnight again, get a full charge and see if it will start, hopefully a few miles under her belt once started will put some life back into the battery.
Does anyone have any other ideas......or am i barking up the wrong tree?also where do i get new brushes for the starter from,
all best regards
