Clocks stolen...

Best part of £600 for new clocks.

Excludes any labour for any coding required...

Looking at the fiche I'm apalled to see that there are no screws holding the clocks on. Just three plastic pins that locate in three holes.

Need to work out a way of securing the fekker.

I have a solution.:rob Buy a new bike.:aidan

On a serious note have any of you guys that have posted here contacted your dealers to highlight how easy it is to remove the clocks ? If you don't complain they won't do anything.

Dealers are the wrong channel for this.

BMW HQ in Bracknell will be getting a stiff letter from me and a request for contribution given their shoddy fixing mechanism.

I will be very interested to hear their response to that one

all 3 clips are easy to remove with a right angle pick, the clips are designed for them to be pulled of like that and just lift clocks away and pull out plug.

I had a new set supplied by Bath road and Mike (RIP) said what mileage do you want me to put on them :thumby:

I fucked mine when I shunted the forks off in France, I patched them up to look cosmetically ok and said they failed = warranty claim, :augie

Would fitting a dash surround help? Maybe Mark Hooton or others could design or make somthing up?

I'd be up for one anti theft gizmo if someone made one

mm fit an electronic ignition igniter to your fuel tank with a limit switch under your clocks.when the thieving scum removes them sit back and relax in the knowledge that he or she is engulfed in flames screaming for mummy then walk over and piss on the c*nt.(use white phos if you can get hold off it as it will stick too the bastard and burn at the same time.

Your bike will be toast though, for a set of clocks

yes but you'll have the pleasure of some payback and atleast your covered for third party, fire & theft unlike the crispy thieving bastard next to your charred bike.:D

I can't see lock wire stopping much.

If I was a thief on the prowl I would carry some basic tools like screwdrivers, pliers, wire snips etc.
