Have you tried it, what size circlip do you need?
and take it to a bearing shop or fastener supplier.

I am going to order a box of circlips and one of E clips of eBay and fit the best option!

Sounds like a brill cheap unobtrusive idea fella, my solution (the security brace) compares very badly IMHO as it costs much more than some circlips off fleabay but it does have the advantage of offering an easily seen visual deterrent before the thieving scum have a go at removing your clocks - so just be aware that they may cause a little damage before the boneheads realise that you have fitted the circlips![]()
Looking at my clocks 1200 TC ADV it would seem a flat plate maybe 75mm wide could run from the screen rails either side and be flush with the bottom of the clocks and this would prevent hands getting behind to do their dirty deed....
Just an idea from a ham fisted fool that would never attempt making such a thing himself

or the number plate?Maybe the thing to do to avoid their theft is to scratch your name in to the face of the clock?
That'll fuck em![]()
or the number plate?
Also, when I bought my GS LC I had to register with Datatag, is that not helping TO prevent stealing parts from my GS?
or the number plate?
How about planting a trap GS and then grabbing the scumbag when he comes for the instruments.
If it was your GS what would be a satisfactory sentence? Pull out his fingernails. Chop off a finger. Chop off his hand.
