Clutch bolts

Fitting a new clutch to my 1150GSA this weekend. Got a kit from James Sherlocks, new bolts included. Reason for the replacement is the rear main seal is leaking. Just had a look at the manual (Clymer), it says I should also replace the 5 bolts that hold the clutch housing to the crank.
Done a quick search but no mention of replacing these particular ones when changing the clutch. Any one done the job and replaced them?

Sherlocks supplied my clutch assy and the 6 CLUTCH bolts were included and were installed.Are you thinking of the FLYWHEEL bolts?.

Yep, there the ones. In the manual it calls it the clutch housing but it bolts to the crank with 5 bolts. Will try my local dealers today and get some, if not then I'll leave it till next weekend do it then.

If you require the clutch kit,Sherlocks have the best price of £150.
Wise to order clutch slave cylinder gasket as well.

replace the bolts holding the whole lot to the crank, as they are VIP bits. The flywheel ones I use again if they are in good condition as they are not subject to the same stresses

How much was the kit??

Will do. Got a set (5) of crank/flywheel bolts at Williams today. They are torqued then turned through an angle, think it was 32 deg so replacing them.
If you order a kit just ask for them as well only a few extra £. Have a look at the links for prices etc.

Clutch done

All done FlipFly. Fitted the new clutch on Saturday, all straight forward (with help of Mr Clymer). Bit of a struggle without a trolly jack to refit the box but a couple of guide pins I made up really helped. Only fly in the ointment was once the box was out found it was the gearbox input shaft seal that had gone not the rear main so had a quick drive to the dealers for one. The clutch plate was soaked in oil and surprised it transmitted any power at all. Still had a ride out on Sunday and work today all seems ok. If you are doing yours soon let me know and you can have the pins and borrow the manual if you like, or may be I can give you a lift? just pm me.
Off to the for sale section now. Rear main seals and bolts, new £20

Ted, thanks for the info. I may well take you up on your offer as I'm not keen on taking that kind of job on my own for the first time.
I'd really appreciate it but still not sure whether it needs it yet, trouble is I'm running out of time and cash!!!
