Morning all,
I have a 1999 R1150GS with 68k on the clocks.
I'm finding that changing down from E to 5 can be problematic. Sometimes I can feel the gears rotating against the lever (if that makes sense) as it goes down the gear, occasionally it plain refuses to go in and pops back into E. Blipping the throttle can help a lot with this.
The bite point for the clutch is quite a long way forward (i.e close to lever being all the way out). I don't know if this makes any difference or indicates anything.
In a couple of weekends I have a day booked to fully service the bike and will be changing the gearbox oil then. But that's around 1,500 miles away.
Any suggestions, thoughts, opinions?
