Clutch help......please!

Nope. First indications is slipping, same as a clutch. It can continue to slip for quite a while unless severely abused, in which case the rubber bonding can melt.
Exactly what I read last night on the RS forum too.
Such a weird thing and I suppose hard to diagnose as it feels like clutch slip. Only for all clutch components in mine are brand new with zero miles yet I still have "slip" it would be a bugger to find.
I'll be very busy next few days so hope to get to it on Saturday, going to try mark it with a long slim artists paint brush as I can't face pulling the drive apart again so soon!

hahahaha - "It's always five o'clock somewhere." Jimmy Buffet ?
Anyway, isn't the 1200RS clutch that 'new' cheapo Chinese muti-plate WET version ?
The so-called "anti-hopping" one - balderdash.
I'm told on very good "Authority" ( geddit ? ) that the new-ish 1200 patrol-cop bikes no longer suffer from clutch problems after continuous bad treatment by Mr. Plod-On-2-Wheels; only the rubber welded issue discussed above. And rust deterioration leading to shaft failure caused by the BMW-forbidden jet-spraying to clean a bike.
