I often notice that my clutch looses pressure whilst it's being used ie when I pull the leaver in the resistance (pressure) starts as soon as you pull the leaver towards the handlebars however, when letting the leaver out, the resistance disappears when the leaver's around half way out. Therefore, I were to pull the leaver in from this half way point (where the resistance starts after letting it out) without letting it out fully before pulling it in again it wouldn't be enough to change gear or pull away.

I've had this issue on a 1200s and one 1300s but when I've reported it to dealers they tell me there's nothing wrong.

My thoughts are that it's not right that it looses pressure whilst the leaver's pulled in therefore changing the clutch biting point.

Has anyone else experienced this?

It's worse when changing gears and causes a jerk when doing so because the clutch becomes reengaged before intended.

Thanks

vague engagement point is a common observation on the watercooled engines.
