City Navigator NT v8 and City Select NT v8 are delivered with 2720 and Quest2.
I may be wrong but I think that NT is a new storage format of the map readable only by the newer GPS models....
I've been using CN Europe v8 NT (and, prior to that, v7 NT, which was never released to the public) since the summertime. The only significant difference is that the 'NT' releases support the geographic reference system that is used for Traffic Message Broadcasts (TMC), which the 7200 and 2720 both support.
My guess (this is strictly a guess, no inside information at all) is that all the cartography will be released in NT format in the future, and that all of the out of production GPSRs (SP III et al) will be able to use it. However, I think that particular CD shown in the picture above is restricted to use in the 2720 and/or 7200.
Keep in mind that Garmin is sometimes forced to restrict the way different cartography media can be used by the organizations who provide the content on it (for example, Navteq, H. M. the Queen, etc.) - that may be why that CD can only be used in the GPSRs that it comes bundled with.
I can't see Garmin wanting to have to support two different formats (NT and non-NT) for each release of the cartography - that is why I think that all of the new cartography will support TMC in the future. If the GPSR doesn't support TMC, no problem - it will be the same as using autorouting cartography in a non-autorouting GPSR.
