My first post, newbie to list & GS but not to Biking or Bee-ems.

Ordered mine yesterday after 1 1/2 hr test ride.

Absolutely brilliant! Test bike had bad screen rattle and dodgy fuel gauge.

Red/Black/Black with Tank bag & heated grips as extras (UK).

Still considering Panniers & the £65 fibreclass covers for the rocker boxes.

Got mine

Got mine three weeks ago - Blue/black/black, with spokes, hot grips and the alarm.

I was extremely lucky in the whole process... Ordered it one day, was told I'd have to wait around 10-12 weeks, and then the very next day got a call from the dealership saying someone had backed out on a similarly-equipped bike, and that if I wanted it I could have it.

Since that fateful day, I have put over 3400 miles on the bike :D

You lucky lucky lucky!!! :D

I've ordered blue-black-black-spokes too - any chance of some good quality pictures? Please...

Pics

For some reason I have a ban on posting images.

So you can download these two shots from my site. They were taken at the stealership as I was trading my Dakar for the R1200GS - nice, nostalgic pics of the old and the new.

Unfortunately, my camera's battery decided to bail on me, which means those are the only digipics I have so far. I bought a disposable camera for my trip, but I have to finish the film, develop it, scan it, etc. Digicam has been duly disciplined - should be alright for future use.

Thanks for the pics! :D Looks quite good! If you have more pictures, especially from the side (where you can see the full extent of blue-black-black-spokes) I'd really like to see that :D

A couple of weeks ago I finally received confirmation for a Sep/Oct 05 delivery of my HP2. I am going nucking futs!.
Any other recipients out there please let me know what you've been promised; Delivery dates, options/accessories, riding suit, BMW enduro training etc.. Info still vague, some reports of 16,000 Euro in Italy for bike/kit and course.
