connecting intaride rp1

Hi,

Fitted the intaride rp1 unit ok, just the wirering to sort out. Is it best to connect it straight to the battery, I have heard it can drain the battery, or tap into another wire. if so which one would you recomend?

I connected it to the back of the accessory socket under the seat via a Touratech TPS 15 15A relay switch (01-044-0450-0). Chucked the lot in the bin now though. Prefer riding instead of pissing about with the electrics each time it rains.

I've wired mine straight to the battery, I think it says on the instructions that it does'nt drain that much plus all you need to do after use is unconnect the power lead from the unit.
Have'nt had time to use mine yet though as the bike is in the workshop having a gearbox!
