Corsica ferries, quick question.

I’ve never been on a ferry anywhere in Europe where the crew don’t tie down your bike. In fact on the crossing from Spain to Sardinia a couple of weeks ago the crew were actively stopping people from tying down their own bikes. Grimaldi lines that was. I’ve also done a few Moby line crossings and it’s the same with them.

But for the definitive answer message the ferry line.

I took a ferry from Corsica to Marseilles (or the port right beside it) and they tied it down. All the Greek ferries I was on last month tied it down.
As noted above, Grimaldi lines tie it down, I used them from Spain to Italy.
I usually have a light, compact ratchet strap with me just in case but never had to use it.

We’re on the Genova to Bastia ferry right now and the crew did not tie the bikes down. Maybe they do if expecting rougher seas? It’s been a smooth crossing.
