Just wondering what kind of costs dealers in the uk are charging to change 1250gs from 2019 to 2022
Anyone changed recently

Changed my 2018 1250gs te to new 2022 model. 25000 miles on old one. Cost £5000 to change.

Changed 7700 miles 2019 GS 40 year to 2022 GS Rallye Adventure for £4K.

Are these trade in examples for new bikes or ex demos? I was considering changing to the Adventure model from what has been my first GS which is 2020 exclusive.

mine at 5000 was for a brand new gs te ordered from factory and specced with SOS. Have to say new one is also improved on the GSAP, smoother changes and more predictable, which I wasn't expecting over my 2018 1250gs.

It’s definitely the case that the quick-shifter is better on the new bikes. The compensating factor is that the integrated rear indicators-brake lights are so crap that you need the quick-shifter to escape the white van that’s likely to ram you from behind on a SMIDSY.

Progress eh? :blast

Never been a fan of the LC GSs but that 40 year looks great.

I agree ,the 40 yr GS looks better than the new GSA rallye in my opinion, not sure I would have changed but obviously the Poster has his reasons

I’ve been quoted €9600
To change my 05/19 gs exclusive 32000kms to a new gs triple black in January
By one of only two dealers here in the Republic of Ireland

All will be revealed in the new few weeks. Bigger tank was the main reason.

Totally agree, one of the fellas who rode with us in Spain was on a "21 GSA. I said to him, that when he indicating and braking at same time, there is no way anybody can figure out why the feck is one slamming on the anchors with the road being clear ahead, cause you can't see the indicator once stoppers are lit up. If I was to But latest GS/GSA. Id be asking to have older style indicators to be fitted and and a perfectly good tail light to be programmed as it was pre 2021.

I haven't a clue how that set up passed the German TUV approval, knowing how fecking strict they are about their vehicle safety.

I think what you should have said to him, get some roadcraft mate, as you should be indicating well ahead of braking, so that by the time the brakes have been applied the person at the rear has had time to assess what your intentions are.

Never wise to brake suddenly without actually have provided prior indication, especially when in front of a white van man.

Besides what you are expressing, IMHO, BMW made a mistake.
