I had a bit of luck today.
I was in Costco last night and asked about a repair to my Garmin SPIII, it was locking up and the only way to get it working again was to disconnect it from the 12v supply and remove one of the batteries.
They told me I had 2 options:
1) send it to garmin for a repair.
2) bring it back for a full refund.
I bought the unit last July for £704, they refunded this amount. I then bought another one for £552.23, saving £150 in the process.
But it does not stop there, it also came with version 6 of European City Navigator, Garmin wanted £90 for the upgrade.
So I'm a happy man.
Costco apparently have a full refund policy as long as you keep your membership upto date.
All the best,
Andy
