Crazy Price Norton Commando PCP Deal

Does seem a lot for a first service.

So it’s first service, then 2 more over the 2 years of the PCP?

Apparently they change the gearbox oil as well.

This was an estimate from my dealer who, as you know, have only been appointed recently.

Separate gearbox oil eh?

I think our two will be going there for service.

Just been reading about it.

Separate gearbox oil that also lubricates the clutch.

Same as my old Harley XR1200.

I think this Norton will probably feel pretty similar by the sounds of it, which isn't a bad thing as I quite liked it.

Yes not bad at all as far as excess mileage charges go.

Some of the paperwork that I’ve signed actually says 1p, which is no doubt a typo. But if I do go over might be worth my while pointing it out.

Dealer has just called me to say bike will be with them mid April, with another batch into May.
Not complaining as it suits me better this way, but interestingly some folk ordering after me have got bikes already which were not in dealer stock but from the factory. Suppose dealers who sold fewer have shorter supply times and I probably joined a long queue as my dealer sold 20+ bikes in a couple of weeks.

I think mines sat waiting at the dealer, but my mate and I wanted to pick them up together.

Also works better for me regards insurance.

I have a date bike arrives at dealer mid March to be registered 1st April . I’m working away from the 1st April but think I have to take it and leave it at dealers for a couple of months. I did ask to just change my allocation spot but was told they think it’s my name my bike .

Well 3 months on from starting this thread I’ve picked her up today. Did 40 miles going the long way home and I have to say it’s lovely. Suspension is sublime and the engine is a real thumper. Brakes are spot on. Yes it does get very ‘vibey’ above 60, but I genuinely rarely ride above that anyway.

Clutch is a smidge heavy for serious town work and I did stall it twice as it’s hard to ‘feel’ what gear you have downshifted into and impossible to check.

Got plenty of admiring glances and would have had more if Route 59 Cafe had been open 😂

BTW first service cost confirmed as £229. Apparently Norton don’t set this it’s down to each dealer to set their price based on local market.

Great. I’ll take our two there as well.
